Kingsley

The suburb was named, as recently as 1974, after the village of Kingsley (near Winchester in Hampshire in England) where William Shenton was born in 1802. Shenton was the first owner of land in the Kingsley area. He must have been prominent, as Shenton Park is named after him. And he built the Old Mill (beside the freeway in South Perth) as far back as the mid 1830's!
